Four Palestinian Designs – Nos 2 & 3

My current stitching project continues apace, with two more of the designs completed.  All the designs come from Palestinian Embroidery Motifs – A Treasury of Stitches 1850 – 1950, by Margarita Skinner and Widad Kamel Kawar.  This wonderful book is a treasure trove of traditional Palestinian patterns.  I am still not too sure of cross stitches though.  I find them a bit finicky to do, especially on a fine 18ct fabric.  Still only one more to go.  Below are the two completed recently.  First up is Disc of Stars, followed by a variation of the Kohl Holder motif.  Kohl is apparently an ancient eye cosmetic.
